Google Doodle Vegetables Idea 2
Excited with Google Doodle Vegetables Idea 1, we tried the next idea. We replaced the Letter 'G' with Guava, Onions, Pomegranate and an Apple. One pumpkin was replaced with Elephant foot yam (karunai Kilangu in Tamil). All others remained the same as of Google Doodle Vegetables Idea 1. This Doodle also excited us and we wondered if Google would Doodle with Natural things too... :-)

Google Doodle Vegetables Idea 1
Impressed with Google Doodles we made an effort to make a natural Doodle with Vegetables. After planning and trying out certain combinations and arrangements with vegetables we ended with two ideas of making the Doodle. We spread a white cotton cloth and arranged few vegetables to bring our Doodle. Letter 'G' was arranged with Onions. Letter 'O' was arranged with white and Greenish coloured Pumpkin (Neer Pusani in Tamil). Next Letter 'O' was arranged with Squat Pumpkin (yellow and green colour mixed). Small letter 'g' was arranged with Potatoes, Radish and Chayote (Chow Chow in Tamil). Letter 'l' was arranged with Carrots. Letter 'e' was arranged with beans and Ladies finger. We were surprised to see a Natural Doodle for Google. We have posted different stills of the Idea 1 in this post. Enjoy :-)

பெய்ஜிங்கில் பொங்கல் பெருவிழா கொண்டாட்டம்

2014 ஆம் ஆண்டு பொங்கல் பெருவிழாவையும், பெய்ஜிங் தமிழ் சங்கமத்தின் ஓராண்டு நிறைவு விழாவையும் பெய்ஜிங் வாழ் தமிழர்கள் 12 ஆம் நாள் பெய்ஜிங்கிலுள்ள இந்தியன் கிச்சன் உணவகத்தில் கொண்டாடினர்.
முற்பகல் பதினொரு மணிக்கு ஒன்றுகூடிய பெய்ஜிங் வாழ் தமிழர்கள் முதலில் பல கலைநிகழ்ச்சிகளை நடத்தினர். சீன வானொலி தமிழ்ப் பிரிவிலிருந்து தலைவர் கலைமகளும், தமிழ் இணையதள பொறுப்பாளர் திரு.மதியழகனும் கலந்துக் கொண்டார்.
திரு.சி.பி.மோகன் அவர்கள் நிகழ்ச்சியை தொகுத்து வழங்கினார். பொங்கல் விழாவை அனைவருக்கும் அறிமுகப்படுத்தும் வகையில் வினாடி வினாவை திரு.ஸ்ரீகாந்த், திருமதி அபர்னா ஸ்ரீகாந்த் தம்பதியர் நடத்தினர். உலகளவில் பொங்கல் கொண்டாட்டம் என்ற தலைப்பில் பல்லூடக வடிவில் திரு.லட்சுமணன் கருத்துரை வழங்கினார்.
கடந்த ஓராண்டு நடைபெற்ற ஐந்து பெய்ஜிங் தமிழ் சங்கமத்தின் கூட்டங்கள், அதன் செயல்பாடுகள், பொறுப்புக் குழுக்கள், கூட்டம் நடத்தும்முறை, எதிர்கால திட்டங்கள் ஆகியவற்றை தொகுத்து திரு.மரிய மைக்கிள் ஓராண்டு அறிக்கையாக வழங்கினார்.
பொங்கல் பானையில் பொங்கலிட்டு, பொங்கல் பொங்கியபோது, பொங்கலோ, பொங்கல் என்று மகிழ்ச்சிக் குரல் எழுப்பி மகிழ்ந்த இதில் பங்கேற்ற தமிழர்கள் அனைவரும், பொங்கல் பானையை கும்மியடித்து சுற்றி வந்து மகிழ்ச்சிக் கடலில் திழைத்தனர்.
இறுதியில் அறுசுவை விருந்து உண்டு மகிந்த அனைவரும், அடுத்தாக தமிழ்ப் புத்தாண்டை ஏப்ரல் திங்களில் சிறப்பாக கொண்டாட முடிவுச் செய்துள்ளனர்.
தமிழ் சீனப் பண்பாட்டு பரிமாற்ற அமைப்பான பெய்ஜிங் தமிழ் சங்கமம் 2013 ஆம் ஆண்டு 13 ஆம் நாள் பெய்ஜிங்கில் முதல்முறையாக பொங்கல் கொண்டாடி தொடங்கப்பட்டது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
